A pivot label is only the start of a desk enquiry
LG’s Australian 27UP850K-W page lists tilt, height and pivot adjustment. Its with-stand dimension field gives 613.5 mm width, 239.3 mm depth and heights of 459.3 and 569.3 mm at the stated lower and upper positions. Those dimensions should remain attached to the stand configuration rather than being replaced by the thinner panel-only depth.
This documentary guide checked on 3 October 2026 addresses a buyer planning portrait-oriented work at an existing desk. We have not moved the screen, measured a desk or approved an installation. A mechanical feature does not, by itself, prove a particular workspace is suitable.
Record the space that remains available
Describe the usable desk area after accounting for equipment that will stay there. Record overhead restrictions and nearby objects as well as the tabletop footprint. A desktop width alone can miss the location of a shelf, a wall or another display. Keep each observation separate from the manufacturer’s figures.
If the intended use involves changing between orientations, state that as an access requirement. Do not infer the complete movement clearance from one static specification. Ask for relevant model guidance or an authorised demonstration if the surrounding space is tight. No physical adjustment procedure is provided here.
Separate orientation from software output
A stand able to pivot answers a mechanical question. The way a particular computer presents the image is a different question that belongs in the host record. Identify the exact computer and intended display arrangement rather than assuming that a mechanical adjustment proves automatic image rotation.
For a workflow dominated by long documents, write down what you expect to see and how often the arrangement will change. For a mixed-use desk, describe the compromise you can accept. These are personal priorities, not claims that one orientation improves every task or reduces physical discomfort.
Compare the actual supplied configuration
If an Australian offer omits or substitutes the stand, the manufacturer’s standard with-stand dimensions do not describe that offer. Request the exact included components and retain the seller’s answer. A panel-only listing and a complete package should not be compared as though the desk arrangement is identical.
A mounting pattern mentioned elsewhere is not a substitute for documenting a proposed support and checking its complete requirements. This article does not select hardware, determine structural capacity or explain mounting. Keep any non-standard support arrangement as a separate enquiry rather than treating it as automatically approved.
Use dimensions to screen, then confirm
The useful outcome is a record linking the exact model, proposed stand, available space and unresolved orientation requirements. Dimensions can eliminate an obviously unsuitable shortlist option; they cannot prove comfortable access or a safe installation. A seller demonstration is evidence for its own arrangement, not your whole room.
Current AU offers, clearance and host behaviour remain separate checks. Needs editor verification applies to missing measurements or inclusions. We have not tested display quality, ergonomics or portrait switching. Save the Australian source and date so a later model or altered stand is not silently treated as equivalent.
